Goooooood morning Pompey!

We crushed a big milestone this week, we have now crossed the 800 subscriber mark! Our sincere thanks to everyone that have replied with kind words, and have shared the newsletter with friends and family! We will keep bringing you Pompey’s best events and get you updated with happenings in our city.

In this week’s news:

Last week, we shared that the City Council wants your input on the proposed plans to change the current setup of the council. Now, the County does too! People’s input are being sought as part of a county-wide survey. There are three drafts options available for people to vote on, including possible boundary changes for some towns and villages within the county! The survey closes at midnight on Sunday 27th July, you can take the survey here.

In May, we reported that the King George V Football Complex was up for the South East Centre for the Built Environment Awards, and we needed you to vote to win. Well, they’ve now won. They won two awards, - the Client of the Year award and the Integration and Collaborative Working award. Well done, Pompey!

This is one to tick off the Pompey Bucket List! The Shipwright’s Way, a walking and cycling route that links villages and towns in East Hampshire through the beautiful coastline has been given a fresh upgrade. The City Council announced the installation of new signs on the Portsmouth half of the route, just in time to be enjoyed this summer. The route starts at Farnham and passes across the South Downs into Portsmouth.
