It’s yet another thursday, kids are back to school, and the weather is turning ever so slowly. Where did our summer go? It’s almost that season of endless rainfalls, and fallen leaves, and blocked drains. Not a fan. Anyways.

In the news this week:
The City Council is working with Bauer Media Outdoor UK to deliver upgrades to bus shelters across the city. The project will install 27 new enhanced shelters in Cosham, Palmerston Road, Fratton Bridge and South Parade. It will have features like smart lighting, real-time travel updates, free WiFi, defibs, etc. Read more here >
The Council has released it findings on the public consultation regarding a planned watersports centre in Eastney. Results showed strong public support to continue developmental plans for a new watersports centre, and will now give the council something to work with as they seek funding to bring this plan to life. The M27 westbound interchange, where it meets the M275 and the A27 will be closed at the Postbridge roundabout from 9pm on Friday to 6am on Monday, to repair the bridges at junction 12. If you’ll be travelling through there, plan your journey ahead. Read more here >
Portsmouth FC prepared for their league visit to Southampton for the South Coast derby next week with a 1-0 win at home to end Preston’s unbeaten start to the season. We now have a cup game away to Romsey Town before travelling to St. Mary’s on Sunday 14th. What are your predictions for the derby?
